ADHD COACHING & MANAGEMENT TRAINING

About Kathryn

I'm Kathryn, and I'm passionate about empowering adults with ADHD to thrive in their personal and professional lives. When I am not working, my free time is divided between family life, including time with my beautiful children and grandchildren, and exploring this county of North Yorkshire with my husband and two working cocker spaniels. I was born and bred in Yorkshire, so am very proud to call this my home. Having started my journey in adult education over 14 years ago, I bring with me a wide breadth of experience working alongside adults as teacher, mentor, tutor and coach.

This journey began with a degree in Language Studies and Linguistics with Psychology, which is where I fell in love with learning about neurodiversity and what drives us as human beings. This was followed by a PGCE in Post Compulsory Education and Training which kick-started my commitment to working with adults who had struggled to engage with education, discovering ways to challenge, motive and encourage. This unique blend of disciplines has given me a profound understanding of human behaviour and communication, which forms the bedrock of my coaching approach.

In my work as a mentor and 1:1 study skills tutor, I've had the privilege of supporting adults with autism, enriching their lives with tailored strategies and unwavering encouragement. My training with the National Autistic Society equipped me with invaluable insights and techniques to better serve this community. I have a special interest in Adult ADHD and how it affects the quality of life and wellbeing. In my quest to continually enhance my skills, I've undergone tutor led, interactive and practice-based training in coaching that is specific to ADHD. My goal is simple: to provide a safe, supportive space where you can embrace your unique strengths, navigate challenges, and unleash your full potential.

My experience and Level 5 CIPD qualification in Human Resources Management have provided me with the underpinning knowledge required to give advice to enable organisations to work within the 2010 Equality Act and their responsibility to protect employees and potential employees from discrimination. It is in everyone’s interest that ADHDers are given the appropriate level of support and reasonable adjustments to assist them to work effectively, capitalise on their strengths and talents and navigate any difficulties; thus being a great asset to an organisation. Are you ready to equip yourself with the tools to make your life better? Let’s get going!
